Winter at Lake Tahoe

Winter views up at Lake Tahoe can be breathtaking. Come see for yourself!

"It's really neat being able to diversify your workouts. Also, training with the group is a big, big part of what you're doing. If you didn't have the group, it wouldn't be the same."

Weather Concerns

What do I wear for the outdoor workouts?

A general rule to remember is: There is no such thing as inappropriate weather, only inappropriate clothing.

With that said, since most of our workouts will be outdoors, you will need to dress appropriately! For the winter workouts, you should arrive to your workout wearing water resistant pants with a pair of tights underneath. Your upper body should have a non-cotton layer close to your skin, followed by an insulating layer (fleece, ect.) and possibly a shell to keep the wind/moisture/cold away. But most importantly, you should be wearing a hat and gloves!!

Although the weather is warmer for our summer workouts, it is still 6:00 in the morning, so it can get chilly. You can usually get away with a pair of shorts, a non-cotton t-shirt under a long sleeve layer, so that you can shed layers as you warm up. You may also want to wear a pair of thin gloves because we do a lot of exercises on the ground and it is often damp that early in the morning.

If you are bundled up properly, your early morning workouts should be not only 'do-able', but also enjoyable!!
